The purpose of subdivision: by amplifying and distributing pulses, the low-frequency vibration of the stepper motor is weakened or eliminated, because low-frequency vibration is an inherent defect of the stepper motor.
Subdivision is a characteristic of the motor driver, not a characteristic of the motor. The working principle is that the motor driver controls the current of the four windings of the motor to control the rotation angle of the stepper motor.
For example, if the step angle of the two-phase stepper motor is 1.8°, and the motor driver subdivision is set to 32 subdivisions, then the actual working step angle is: 1.8/32=0.05625°, that is, the motor rotates One circle, the motor driver needs to give the motor 360°0.05625°=6400 pulse signals. There are three common subdivision methods:
(1) Powers of 2, such as 2, 4, 8, 16, 32, 64, 128, and 256;
(2) Integer multiples of 5, such as 5, 10, 20, 25, 40, 50, 100, and 200
(3) Integer multiples of 3, such as 3, 6, 9, 12, 24, and 48.
